The Beloved Horse

Our Limited Edition Silk Scarf collection, designed by Jacqui Sinnatt for Mathaf Studio London, reflects and honours the cultural heritage of the Middle East, while adding a contemporary and creative touch.

Inspired by Mathaf Gallery’s unique archives, the designs depict vignettes of 19th century Orientalist paintings portraying desert camel trains, oasis, mosques and minarets, dhows and horses. The reverse side of the shawls feature geometric designs inspired by Islamic tiles and architecture, both past and present and even patterns devised from the rippling desert sands.

The scarves are made from the highest quality silk satin and are manufactured and hand finished in Britain.
